"フェルミ推定"の解説

特定しにくい数を、限られた情報のもと短時間で論理的に推定すること。面接官が就活生の論理的思考力を測るために課すことが多い。主にコンサル業界でのグループディスカッションの課題に対して用いると良しとされる。

A method of making justified guesses based on little to no actual data, named after the physicist Enrico Fermi. Recruiting personnel may ask for a Fermi estimate to observe the applicant's logical thinking. It is commonly said that using a Fermi estimate during a consulting company's interview gives a positive impression on its recruiting personnel.
